Shown below are some of the ponies that have been owned by the Cellwen Stud and have since moved on to further their careers.

Criccieth Bedwyr 55482

sire: Revel Justy  dam: Snowdon Hefina by Whatehall Louis

The largest influence of the Cellwen Stud has to be Criccieth Bedwyr (Bengie) whom I purchased as a yearling colt.  Bedwyr is the sire of most of the stock at Cellwen many of his fillies have been retained along with a son

Cellwen Picasso who is now our Stud Stallion.  I owned Bedwyr for nine years and he will be greatly missed

he was sold in the WPCS Spring sale and is now owned my the Finnlea Stud, good luck

to his new owners and I hope they have as much success with him as I did.

Justy has been a primary influence on the Cellwen Stud and his legacy will live on in his offspring

Quinton Jason

Dam: Quinton Joanne

Quinton Jason was a real character, his two daughters retained at Cellwen

have the same stunning head, eye and wicked way as their sire.

Dyfed Curtsey

For many years I had tried to purchase this remarkable mare, and was overjoyed when I finally

had the chance to do so.  Curtsey is a fantastic lady in every meaning of the word, her

filly Cellwen Cameo remains at the stud and is proving to be as elegant and charismatic as her dam.

Criccieth Wildfire

Cascade was one of the first mares purchased at the Stud. She was the foundation of the C line at Cellwen. Her filly foal Chorus is now owned by Denisa Vegter, from the Czech Republic and is now proving to be a successful broodmare. Sadly Cascade passed away in 2003 her grand daughter Dyfed Caress carries on her legacy.

Uffington Xanthippe was purchased along with her half sister Verity she has bred some outstanding foals at Cellwen and has since been sold to the Gwartharfan Stud where she continues to do well.

Verity has been an incredible asset to Cellwen, she has produced some outstanding stock

all of which have been fillies and are currently proving themselves to be as successful as their dam.

 

Cellwen Vienna Sire Criccieth Bedwyr Dam: Uffington Verity   Vienna was sold as a foal and has since had a successful showing career

Sadly during 2007 Dyfed Party passed away.  Party was a very well known member of the stud and she

will be greatly missed.  This line of breeding needs no introduction including, Dyfed Playwrite, Dyfed Playmate

and many others, all of which have been successful in the show ring, and through their youngstock.

I was over the moon when I had the chance of purchasing Pollyanna, she was a very popular

mare at Cellwen and has produced my junior stallion and two stunning daughters.

Revel Sweet Glow and her yearling filly was purchased approximately six months after the Revel reduction sale.  She had not been entered for the sale due to the fact that she was heavy in foal with her filly Revel Swan Song. She has been a fantastic mare to own and has breed some outstanding stock.
